New Honda HR-V to Launch on January 8 with Upgraded Pro and Max Trims and More Competitive Pricing

Dongfeng Honda has officially confirmed that the new Honda HR-V will make its market debut on January 8. The automaker stated that the updated model will arrive with highly competitive pricing, potentially undercutting the current generation to strengthen its position in the compact SUV segment.

In addition to pricing adjustments, the new HR-V lineup will introduce two new trims — Pro and Max, which are expected to bring meaningful equipment upgrades and improved value for consumers.

Sporty Exterior Design Remains Consistent

Based on the official images released so far, the new Honda HR-V retains the core exterior design of the current model. The front fascia features a blackened styling package combined with a honeycomb-pattern grille, reinforcing a sportier and more youthful appearance.

This design continuity allows Honda to preserve the HR-V’s established visual identity while focusing upgrades on technology and value.

Compact SUV Dimensions with Honda MM Space Philosophy

Honda emphasizes its renowned MM (Man Maximum, Machine Minimum) design philosophy, which prioritizes interior space efficiency. The new HR-V measures 4,569 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,611 mm in height, with a 2,655 mm wheelbase, positioning it firmly within the compact SUV category.

Despite its compact footprint, the HR-V is engineered to maximize cabin space, ensuring practicality for daily commuting and family use.

Balanced Suspension and Turbocharged Powertrain

The new HR-V adopts a front MacPherson strut suspension and a rear multi-link independent suspension, delivering a balance between agility and ride stability.

Power comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a CVT transmission, producing a maximum output of 134 kW and 240 Nm of torque. This powertrain setup offers responsive acceleration while maintaining fuel efficiency, aligning with the expectations of compact SUV buyers.

Honda CONNECT 3.0 and Updated Interior Experience

Inside the cabin, the new HR-V features Honda CONNECT 3.0 infotainment system, supporting enhanced connectivity and smarter vehicle interaction. The interior design follows Honda’s latest design language, focusing on clean lines, intuitive controls, and improved material quality.
